Teacher Pay 2025–26 (England)

Overview

“Teacher pay” refers to the nationally set ranges for teachers and school leaders in England, including the Main and Upper pay ranges, the Unqualified teacher range, the Leadership group range, and the Lead Practitioner range. Additional payments such as TLR (Teaching and Learning Responsibility) and SEN allowances may also apply.

For 2025–26, the School Teachers’ Review Body (STRB) award is 4%, effective from 1 September 2025. Regional variations apply across Inner London, Outer London, London Fringe, and England excluding London/Fringe.
